THE ORPHANS and Needy Smile Foundation (ONSF) have donated items and food to orphans at Kokofu and the surrounding communities.

The over GH¢50,000.00  worth of  items include clothes, shoes, toys, foodstuffs, provisions and others were given to orphans, widows, the poor and needy from towns like Kokofu, Essumegya Essanse, Akyeremade and Kokofe.

The life patron of the Foundation, who doubles as the Founder of the Shiloh United Church and the President of the International Council of Churches and Ministers of Great Britain, Archbishop Samuel Richard Addae said the primary motive of the gesture is to put a smile on the face of the orphans, poor and needy.

He said ONSF, an offshoot of Shiloh United Church, had taken it upon itself to cater for the welfare of orphans, the poor and needy as the epitome of real Christianity, urging all Ghanaians to remember the poor and needy in their endeavors.

Nana Kissiwaa Bayie II, the Queen mother of Kokofu Traditional Area, who chaired the event, said she was pleased to witness the marvelous gesture by ONSF, saying there is hope for the Orphans and widows in the communities after all. She, however, urged Ghanaians to always remember the poor and needy

The President of the ONSF, Rev. Ross Addae, indicated that ONSF has branches at Tepa, Edwenase, and that the Accra branch would soon be operational.

Rev. Ross Addae appealed to stakeholders for support in cash and kind especially building materials to develop a six acre-land, released by the Kokofu Traditional Council into an ONSF centre.
